Contact Us
The age of two is a magical time in a child’s life, when their gross motor skills are more fully developed and their ability to explore and engage with the world around them becomes more intrinsic to their everyday experience. At Cherokee Academy at Clayton, we strive to help develop your two-year-old’s confidence, social skills, and gross motor skills through interactive group play, lessons, art projects, and play time.

Our staff of early childhood education experts designs curriculum that’s fun, engaging, and age-appropriate to help foster a love of learning in your children. Contact us now to schedule a program tour.

Our daily routine

The daily routine in our two-year-old room includes circle time, outdoor play, art, music, and story times. Our staff prepares lesson plans to expand your child's motor and language skills while also teaching beginning problem solving skills. Our daily reports inform parents of their child’s play, feeding, and toileting activities. When your child begins to show an interest in potty training, our staff will communicate with you so that we can be consistent at school and at home.

We strive to ensure your child’s developmental progress is consistent at home and in our classroom and we’re happy to make any accommodation you’d like to their daily routine. Contact us now for more information.

Developmental learning and play

Parents and teachers are often surprised at how fast skills develop and how much energy it takes to keep up with growing two-year-olds. Each new skill builds a child's physical competence and ability to do things independently.

We offer a comprehensive childcare program that incorporates positive peer social interactions with learning foundational ideas such as patterns, colors, numbers, and about the world around them. Your children will love the activities and lessons they learn as they develop lasting friendships with others in their age group.
